Trevor Bernardo, Principal Director

Trevor Bernardo is a Los Angeles–based architectural and spatial design director with over a decade of experience across architecture and fabrication. As the founder of Arrogant Studio, he leads the creative vision across built environments, interiors, brands and spatial works—guiding projects from initial narrative through design development, fabrication, and execution.

His work is defined by a balance of conceptual clarity and material precision, with an emphasis on environments that feel both intentional and immediate. Trevor approaches each project as a complete system where form, surface, lighting, and program operate together to create a cohesive spatial language. The result is work that is restrained yet expressive, grounded yet future-facing.

Operating across disciplines and scales, he collaborates closely with fabricators, engineers, and creative partners to translate ideas into built reality. His process is informed by a deep understanding of how things are made, allowing him to move fluidly between vision and execution.

At its core, Trevor’s work is about creating spaces that hold presence. Environments that are not only seen, but felt, used, and remembered.

Gigi, Studio Manager

Gigi is the operational backbone of Arrogant Studio—equal parts discipline, instinct, and unbothered authority. With an uncompromising eye for spatial occupation and an innate understanding of comfort, he oversees all day-to-day studio rhythms, from morale management to furniture optimization.

Gigi’s responsibilities include greeting collaborators (selectively), supervising material samples, and enforcing break schedules. Known for his ability to diffuse high-pressure moments with a single glance or a well-timed nap, Gigi ensures the studio maintains a balance between intensity and ease.

He operates without email, meetings, or approvals, yet remains the most respected voice in the room.

Gigi believes good design should feel as natural as a place you want to stay and he refuses to sign off on anything that doesn’t.
